Keith Haring Marker Art- (Drawing): Goal: Students will recognize and use the principles of emphasis and repetition in their artwork.

 

Van Gogh Sunflowers- (Watercolor Paint): Goal: Students will be able to communicate their own opinion and feelings in a constructive way when viewing peer artwork. 

 

Shoe Scapes– (Watercolor Paint): Goal: Students will draw a still life of their shoes while using scale to make the space seem real.

Stained Glass Windows- (Collage): Goal: Students will recognize and use the element of space (both positive and negative).

Weaving Boards- (Textiles): Goal: Students will explore the idea of textiles while learning how to weave in an over-under pattern.

Clay Food- (Sculpture): Goal: Students will learn the technique of hollowing their clay.


Line and Shape Landscape: (Drawing)- Goal: Students will review line and shape while learning how to use the elements of rhythm(repetition) and pattern.

Chihuly Sculptures(Sculpture):Goal: Students will understand and use the principle of balance in their sculptures.

Choice Art For All of May:

Goal: Students will use a famous work of art to inspire them. These works f art use themes and symbols in works of art from various cultures and historical periods.
