Van Gogh Chalk Landscapes- (Acrylic Paint, Chalk Pastels, Collage):Goal: Students will recognize and use the principle of proportion while also identifying the foreground, middle ground, and background in works of art.

Chuck Close Face with Geo. Squares/City Scape- (Drawing):  Goal: Students will use planning and forethought to create a work of art focusing on the principles of rhythm, repetition, and the idea of depth. 

 

Winter Masking Tape- (Painting): Students will understand and use the idea of contrast in their work of art.

Simple Art Project Ideas: Winter Birch Trees This one is so simple--just strips of masking tape and then dark blue watercolor with some salt sprinkled over it. After it dries you take off the tape, paint on the moon with white paint and use watered down blue watercolor to put shadows and lines on the trees.

City Scape- (Drawing):  Goal: Students will use planning and forethought to create a work of art focusing on the principles of rhythm, repetition, and the idea of depth. 

4th grade art

 

Clay Choice- (Sculpture): Goal: Students will create a 3-D form that uses clay connections, hollowing, and texturing.

 

Choice Art for the rest of the year.

Choice Art Goals:

Students will understand how to make art meaningful to them while exploring the various choice art stations.

Students will create original artwork that communicates personal ideas, experiences, and emotions.

Students will use an artist’s work of art to inspire their work of art.
